Vittoria Rubino Pro Tyre

The high mileage classic that is the Vittoria Rubino Pro comes into its third generation with even better ride characteristics. First, the casing has been upgraded form 120 tpi to an incredible 150 tpi for a supple ride, durability, and low rolling resistance. Kevlar® Endura 3D compound provides long tread life and better grip especially in wet weather. The tread design has also been changed to the Prism Vector Design for more reliability when cornering while retaining a smooth center for fast rolling.

Our flagship model when it comes to high-mileage (torture-tested in extreme events like RAAM, Race Across America) is back, completely renewed!

  • Nylon 150 TPI casing, market-standard for high performance.
  • New Kevlar® Endura 3D Compound, with high duration and exciting road-behaviour.
  • PRB puncture protection.
  • Updated tread pattern, with Dot C.O.M. Vector Design.

Kevlar® Endura 3D Compound - When making this new compound, we decided to capitalize on our glorious Kevlar® 3D Compound and increase its wear-resistance.

  • Superior tread-life.
  • Very good grip, on all roads.
  • Low energy absorption.
  • Strongly recommended for its high-mileage, both training and racing.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 71 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great handling tyre I spent a lot of time researching tyres before buying these tyres. I am delighted with their performance. I run them at 120psi due to the harder compound slick centre section of the tread they roll extremely well and are fast. The softer tread edge (coloured section) handles fantastically they grip extremely well, giving confidence in cornering. On the whole these tyres have a great feeling and I found they improved the handling/control of my bike. I have run these tyres for approximately 1100km, although they have not worn out, the softer compound on the edges has started to split/crack. Personally, as an engineer I think this is due to the different rubber compounds. I m sure I could probably get another 900km out of these tyres, but at £17.99 I have decided to change the tyres to be on the safe side. I do not have issues with this cracking as the tyres offer a fantastic safe fast ride, and at this price changing them regularly is not an issue. 08 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wow 6825km sans crevaison, très bon roulement, j’ai dû changer à cause d’un morceau de vitre j’aurai pu faire plus de Km 03 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tires I've always used Vittoria on my bikes. They're great tires and the price is pretty good. 31 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by No punctures! Bought these last year as a winter training tyre but ended up keeping them on over the summer and riding a couple of sportives with them. Maybe I got lucky but so far I've done over 2000k with no punctures. I've swapped the front and rear over to extend the wear and they now have a few cuts showing so probably time to replace. A bit heavier and slower than many alternatives but impressive wear. 30 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! I just wanted to say, no idea how people are getting so few miles out of them! These came on my expensive carbon bike and I really like them. I assumed that they are expensive tires. I was surprised to see the price, ive paid 3x more for worse! I'm only replacing now because my back tire is getting a bit of a flat profile (still life in them if i wanted). I have done 2300 miles with no punctures at all, and my font has plenty of life in it and a nice profile still. 27 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by tough durable tyre with low rolling resistance These tyres have served me very well, tried so many tyres, luganos that punctured after 3 days, force and attack were okay, but sidewalls gave way before the tyre wore out. My current tyres have put over 1000kms, I even take my "road" bike offroad, gravel, mud e.t.c with the knowledge that these tyres won't let me down! If you are reading this, just get one ASAP! 23 July 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cuts up too easily. Did'nt get a lot of kms out of this tyre. Lasted about 6 weeks/800 kms. 2 punctures and then a bad cut all whilst on the front. 10 July 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Short life - cracks in sidewall Only had these a relatively short time and not done that many miles, but cracks started to appear in the sidewalls. They were a low price, but very disappointed with the quality. They will need to be changed now. 03 July 2014

    Hi raysy.

They are not sold as a pair. The price listed above is for a single tyre.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Rossetti.

    Answer:
The best thing to do is to double check the size of the old tyre, which should have writing on the sidewall. It the old one is 650c x 23c then this certainly is the correct size

    Answer:
Absolutely! Changing from 700x25c to 700x23c shouldn't be a problem, the only difference is the width of the tyres (2mm) and since the wheel diameter (700c) is the same, the new 700x23c will fit the same rims...
