Vitus Bikes Dominer II Suspension Bike 2

Call it Enduro. Call it AM. Call it DH lite. Call with what you want. We’ll be out there riding it.

Vitus introduce the Dominer range of 180mm travel Enduro/DH bikes, designed for the high-octane hustle of Alpine descents, Megavalanche assaults or uplift days at your local DH trails. Built around their custom hydroformed 6061 aluminium frame with 180mm of rear travel delivered via the Vitus V-Link four-bar suspension system, the Dominer is kitted out with a bombproof components selection for long-term durability and aggressive riding intent.

Brought to you exclusively by Vitus Bikes and Chainreactioncycles.com, the Dominer II is a true gravity sled.

180mm travel V-Link frame and RockShox Domain RC Coil Forks

The lightweight hydroformed multi-butted, heat treated 6061-T6 aluminium frame features 180mm of rear wheel travel via a four-bar V-Link activated suspension platform which eliminates pedal bob yet remains fully active at all times. Suspension travel is controlled by a RockShox KAGE R coil shock which offers silky smooth performance. All pivots run on sealed cartridge bearings providing supple suspension with low maintenance. A replaceable derailleur hanger comes as standard. Up front, RockShox Domain RC forks offer 180mm of plush, coil-sprung travel. A tapered steerer and 20mm Maxle thru-axle mean precise, positive tracking through corners, rock gardens or the toughest of technical DH lines.

SRAM Groupset

The SRAM 1x10 groupset combines an X7 shifter and rear derailleur with a Truvativ Hussefelt 1.1 chainset for crisp, flawless gear selections even in the toughest of condition. As would be expected on a bike with this much brawn they've fitted a Prime Aero dual chainguide as standard to make sure your chain stays where it should.

Alpine descents require brakes you can count on, so the Domineer II comes fitted with dependable Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic discs with 180mm rotors front and rear for powerful, fade-free braking performance.

Finishing kit

A tough wheelset with sealed cartridge bearing disc hubs and Mavic EN 321 disc rims will take all the punishment you can dish out. High volume Maxxis High Roller tyres combine predictable handling with low rolling resistance for complete confidence in all conditions. The build kit is completed with Vitus bars, stem seatpost, grips and saddle.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by bella la vitus e una bici molto maneggevole. stabile ..davvero molto bella 20 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GNAR! GNAR: A shortened version of the word gnarly, meaning high on the scale of dangerousness and coolness. - urban dictionary This is an awesome bike! I ordered it and recieved it in less than a week. Shipped from the UK and showed up on my door step in Alaska in less than a week! I have never bough anything from CRC before but i Definitely will again. The bike is burly and built to last. The Avid elixir 3 were needed to be bled out of the box but other than that, its sick nasty! Love it! It is smooth, built like a tank, corners like a formula one, and screams like a banshee! Im thinking maybe Totem for upgrade and a Vivid in rear but i'll runs these others this they snap. 22 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely great. Excellent for it's price and of course for amazing suspension technology, was tested in a small bike park, all worked better than I expected, cool feelings of flight and smooth landing, Perfect brakes, hard enough, bar is toooo much long, a bit unusual ) Design of frame I like most of all, strict and bright colours, even u want to make a small trip through the city, everyone should look at your Dominer ) 30 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Байк - что надо!
Rated 5 out of 5 by good choice Very good quality for this price!!! Look's better on real!!!!! 23 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing bike Built like a tank I recently got this bike and have only been out once, but it is super! The shocks absorb everything you throw at it! Its really well built. If you are looking a downhill/enduro bike i would recomend this bike, its great value for money!! 21 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good bike
Rated 5 out of 5 by built like a tank Never hearing of Vitus before i was actually looking for a kona entourage but decided to take a risk with the dominer 2 and im glad i did !. taken it out only 5 times so far but given it plenty of stick i love the shocks and pivot points this bike just seems to absorb every bump very smoothly. the only thing im not getting on with is the chain guide seems to rub on the side of it ive spent a fair amount of time trying ways of adjusting it but i think i will just swap it 08 December 2013

Answer:
If pedals are not listed as part of the bikes description then they are not supplied with the bike as standard (primarily because bike manufacturers don't know if you will be riding flat or clipless pedals) but we include a set of basic flat pedals with our bikes to help get you up and running.

Answer:
Alpine descents, Megavalanche assaults or an uplift day at your local DH trails, the NEW Vitus Dominer can handle it all!

So this bike is suitable for big jumps and drops (Unless you want to pushed like Josh Bender).
Greetings!

Answer:
If you prefer a slightly smaller frame (for added control and maneuverability) then the 17.5" would be fine.

Trail/ Enduro (Up hill)

Is the bike suitable to an extend for any single track trails with uphill, due to the weight of the bike? Will this be impossible to ride uphill?

Answer:
As this bike is geared towards Freeride and Big Mountain riding; pedaling uphill over long distances is not its main intention when designed.

The Gravir or Escarpe would be better suited to All Mountain/Enduro style riding.
