The Optimum II shares the same custom-moulded high-modulus carbon fibre frame as the Optimum 1 and the same singularity of purpose – hunting down competitors and passing them in a blur.
Built for performance XC riding and racing the Optimum II makes no compromises when it comes to parts – forks are upgraded to Reba Race models for improved performance while shedding weight, while a 20-speed Truvativ/SRAM X9 transmission provides clean, crisp and reliable shifting in a lightweight package designed with the needs of the competitive off-road rider in mind.
Braking duties are taken care of by Avid Elixir 5 discs, a stiff and lightweight Laser Disc wheelset makes sprinting a breeze and Truvativ Stylo World Cup finishing kit is the ultimate in gram-shaving performance. The package is completed by a set of WTB Wolverine tyres for confidence and grip in all conditions.

Mid life cisis looming, kids left home and more disposable income and the end result is owning the Optimum II. I always dreamed of owning a lightweight carbon framed bike and when I saw this on here, it was the choice of upgrading the worn out parts on my GT or get this. I am so glad I opted for the Optimum. The lightweight has given me new zest for MTB'ing so much in fact that I have doubled my milage. It is kitted in branded finishing kit and you look at it and it is like name dropping, making it excellent value for money. Written enough now so I must jump on it and clock up a few more miles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous what a bike,i thought it would be a bad buy because i was going to do jumps with it but i was wrong the suspension was so smooth considering i was going over gravel, potholes and jumps and the wheels were very strong they normally broke or got warped on my old bikes but this one is definitly value for money
