Vitus Bikes Zenium Road Bike

Ready for real road biking? Here’s the place to start...

The 2013 Zenium range features an all-new 6061-T6 hydroformed alloy frameset which boasts improved aesthetics and mimics our top-end carbon frames in styling and geometry.

A carbon fork with tapered steerer comes as standard on all models and brings a new level of performance to the range, offering greatly improved handling and comfort.

Compact and rider-friendly geometry means the Zenium will cruise in comfort just as easily as it will sprint to the line, making it the perfect companion for club group rides, cyclosportive events, year-round training or just general leisure riding.

Triple-butted 6061 aluminium frame and HM-UD carbon fork
Our new 6061-T6 aluminium frame with custom-drawn aerospace tubing delivers a ride that is light, stiff and responsive. A UD carbon fork with tapered alloy steerer reduces road buzz and provides precise and predictable handling on all road surfaces.

Shimano Sora/FSA groupset
Shimano Sora shifters and derailleurs provide smooth and precise gear selections throughout the range. The FSA Omega 50t x 34t compact chainset and Shimano Tiagra 12tt-25t cassette offer a gear ratio ideally suited to training sessions, fast group rides or long, social weekend spins.

Finishing Kit
FSA finishing kit provides a comfortable base for longer days in the saddle with reliable, robust aluminium components. Shimano R501 wheels are stable performers whilst the Schwalbe Lugano 25c tyres offer low rolling resistance and surefooted grip even in the wet, increasing confidence and enhancing your riding experience.

Brought to you exclusively by chainreactioncycles.com, the Vitus Zenium delivers an optimum blend of performance and value for a great introduction to road cycling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value Bike I bought this bike for my brother, I was a bit worried about buying a bike online the CRC frame size guide was bang on, we had a slight problem with a nut on the bottom bracket coming loose tightened it up and no problem since, he has covered over 1000km and loves the bike, its fast well able to keep up in group rides and its a very comfortable bike for long rides too. The finish on the bike is excellent looks a lot more expensive than it is gets a lot of attention. 07 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value bike Until fairly recently to get a decent entry level bike/winter training model would have forced you to either seriously compromise your desire or pay a fairly hefty premium, however, over the last couple of years many manufacturers have offered very respectable machines at or around £500. This is one of the better choices, you get a good solid frame with carbon forks offering decent power transmission and not too much road buzz, an entry level shimano groupset providing crisp and responsive shifting combined with some FSA elements which are more than adequate for the task. Plus being black it looks great and hides blemishes and dirt. CR supplied the bike ready to ride (you simply need to adjust the handlebars and raise or lower the saddle according to your height), I'd probably recommend getting some decent pedals at the same time since to get the most benefit from the machine you'd be better off with a proper cycling shoes and cleats. The only slight criticism I have is the wheels weren't 100% true and the chain rubs against the front cage slightly in certain gears but this is unfortunately a common problem even with bikes costing substantially more. Neither issue is overly problematic and can either be left, fixed by someone reasonably mechanically adept or a trip to your local bike shop. I've done 100 miles or thereabouts on the machine to date and had no issues to report, the bike was shipped the same day it was ordered and arrived within a couple of days in perfect condition. 30 October 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 Great bike that exceeds my expectations. For a first timer this bike is pure fun. It is a suprisingly big diffrerence to ride a as expencive hybrid with narrow tyres. It just feels like all the power is tranferred into speed. To balance this I must say that I have no experiance of riding more expensive bikes so I might be biased. 17 September 2013

Re Vitus Zenium Sora

Hi ive been looking at the vitus zenium sora bike but notice that the largest you have is a 58cm frame. I am 6ft 4 inches tall so would probably need a 59cm, or a 60cm frame. Will you be getting anymore stock?

Thank you

Answer:
For your height we would definitely advise you select a bike with a 60cm top tube. Size is very important when considering a road bike in relation to your comfort. The following Corratec is a bike to consider, similar specification and available in a 60cm.

Answer:
If pedals are not specified on the features list of a complete bike then they are not included as standard (the main reason being that bike manufacturers don't know if riders will want flat or clipless pedals), however we do include a set of basic flat black pedals to get you up and running.

Answer:
This frame does not feature the required frame mounts for a pannier rack. You will only therefore be able to fit a seatpost mounted rack.

Answer:
I'm sorry you can't fit full length mudguards to this bike. There is no space on bike. You can only put rear mudguard but from those that are placed on the seatpost.
