Vitus Bikes Zircon I Hardtail Bike

Race day or all-day? Your call...

Designed by Vitus Bikes and brought to you by Chainreactioncycles.com, all bikes in the Vitus Zircon range feature a lightweight triple-butted 6061-T6 hydroformed aluminium frame and proven components package at a great price.

For bikers who enjoy crossing elbows in weeknight club races as much as they love fast-paced trail centre runs and all-day epics in the hills, the Vitus Zircon I makes it all possible. A do-it-all hardtail with trail-tuned geometry and competition-ready components package, featuring a 2x10 SRAM drivetrain for reduced weight and improved shifting performance.

Lightweight aluminium frame and Rockshox Recon Gold 120mm travel forks
At the heart of the Zircon I is a lightweight, triple-butted, heat treated 6061-T6 aluminium frame with hydroformed tubeset, trail-tuned geometry, replaceable derailleur hanger and excellent upgrade potential. The frame also features internal cable routing to prevent mud and water getting into cable housings - keeping you shifting smoother for longer and keeping your bike out of the shop and out on the trails.

Suspension duties up front are handled by infinitely adjustable Recon Gold RL Solo Air, with 120mm of plush travel for rock-strewn descents and rooty woodland trails as well as a handy lockout mode for fire-road climbs or hammer-drop racing.

SRAM groupset
The Zircon I features a 20spd SRAM groupset combining X7 shifters and derailleurs with a SRAM S1000 2x10 chainset to provide slick gear changes and a wide gear ratio that will make short work of any gradient the trail can throw at you.

Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors provide powerful, controlled stopping capability even in the worst of off-road conditions.
Finishing kit

A durable and lightweight SRAM/Mavic wheelset offers impeccable trail performance while grippy, high-volume Maxxis Advantage tyres will give you the confidence to push hard into every corner. A mix of reliable Easton and Vitus finishing kit round out the Zircon I package.

The Vitus Zircon I. A lot of bike for your buck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by value for money got bike this morning [Friday] order Tuesday.only had a 10 min ride and everything works great carnt wait to take for a proper ride.i should of asked about pedals before I ordered but who care's what a bike for the money.i had a look in my local bike shop and the bike's was twice as expensive and nowhere near the spec of this one. 14 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by great bike for the price Unpacked bike carefully. Quite a hefty chunk out ofof one side of bar end. Left side dust seal half way up sanction haven't got tool to re fit properly, so will have to go local shop to get sorted before I can ride it!. Overall very happy with the bike its self and can't wait to ride it. Just a bit annoyed about the above issues, who's to blame I'm not sure. 31 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding build!! Find a better hardtail for this price. Buy one with specialized printed on the downtube if you want to match everyone else on the trails but compare the spec and see what you're getting for your hard earned cash. Delivered five days after oredering including a weekend with a bag full of freebies. Nice. 08 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Das beste Bike für das Geld! Sehr gutes Bike fürs Geld! Auch insgesamt sehr guter Qualitätseindruck! Klare Empfehlung! 08 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vitus Bikes Zircon 1 Great bike. Good quallity components for the price. Light-weight ridgid bike. Strong Brakes. Grippy tyres. Great forks, but I only get 110mm movement. Nice wide bars. Looks AMAZING! At first, I thought that due the fact that there are not as many gears, there would not be alot of range, but after taking it for a ride the gearing is fine, the range is huge. ChainReaction supply the bike with free paint patch, free hanger, free allan keys and a chainstay protector. 02 November 2013

Answer:
Our bikes are supplied in a semi-built state; they should only need the bars/ stem straightened and tightened, the seatpost/ saddle adjusted to suit their height, and the pedals fitted. 5-10 minutes with an Allen key should have you up and running.

Answer:
Hi.

I got the Vitus Zircon I last week and all I had to do was fit the handlebars in place (all the brake and gear lines we all set up it was just a case of fitting the handle bars with the supplied allen keys. Really easy to do and I think the only reason that the handle bars weren't on in the first place is to save packaging as they would add to the width.

Answer:
Based on height alone, the 16" frame would be advised for the advantage of agility and control. However an inseam length variation may suggest a larger frame size when pedaling.

For more advise on sizing, please provide your inseam measurement to our Technical Department -

Answer:
The majority of complete bikes are no longer supplied with pedals as standard (as the manufacturer knows that many riders will re-use previous pedals, and have no way to predict if they are flat or clipless). If a bike does not state pedals in it's description then they will not have been included by the manufacturer.

However, we will always include a set of flat black pedals (if none are supplied) to get you started.

Answer:
Even though CRC do not specify anywhere on the page I can tell you that the bike is NOT supplied with pedals. You will have to buy your own set.

- If you ask me it's stupid, every bike should come with pedals.

Answer:
Hola !
