Rated 1 out of 5 by NoNoNo Clunky, ineffective pump. Then dropped once & it snapped in half. 06 July 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Works well but...... A great idea and fine for the price, and good for repacking sealed bearings. The big problem with it is that the grease keep oozing out of it when you stop pushing, meaning you end up with a mess on your bench and you use twice as much grease as you should. Is it a ploy by the manufacturer to use more and therefore buy more of their grease? 16 April 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Excellent but very fragile This is a superb grease gun, ideal for getting grease into those hard to reach places. However, I dropped my gun from a height of about two foot onto carpet (!) and the green plastic body snapped in two at the thread ...not impressed at all. 24 June 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor The whole nozzle fell off while using it, it is of very poor quality and a friend had one which just cracked and grease came out from everywhere but the end. Spend a bit more money and get a metal one. 08 October 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does the job Does the job, fairly priced 08 April 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Can't go wrong for the price Cheaper than metal alternatives & does the same job. I'm using mine with a tube of Finish Line grease. Obviously this doesn't feel as solid & robust as a metal grease gun but for the home enthusiast, who probably won't be using this day in, day out, I think this is spot on & there isn't a need to spend more on a similar product. 02 March 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by better guns out there A workshop essential yes, gives a nice fine squirt of grease, when it squirts that is... Unlike other ones, you need to get it pumping properly, and feels a lot cheaper and flimsier than other ones out there. 03 October 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by very good. I like it, looks porfessional Very useful fits with others grease bottles brand like finish line. I think the tread is universal ???. You will never get dirty with this little grease gun. Work like a professional in your own house for a few euros 24 December 2008

Answer:
To prime the gun all you need to do is screw your tube of grease onto the bottom, gently squeeze the tube whilst pumping the trigger. Once you have done this, grease will be forced into the cylinder and the gun will be ready to use.
