The Mutano 2.4 is derived by mating three of our most popular treads—we combined the fastrolling centerline of the Nano, the aggressive square blocks of the Moto and the grippy working edges of the VelociRaptor. The result is a highly versatile and predictable tire that keeps its speed and traction on any trail. The 2.4-inch model actually weighs less than 600-grams, making it a real standout in the world of large-volume XC race tires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by r1andrew excellent
never ran the same tyres twice (and i have had a lot of tyres) as i have never been happy with them so always tried other tyres, I know their is no perfect tyre and i am prepared to compromise but i have never had a tyre that was close to the manufacturers claims or even other riders reviews until i tried these and they have been the best all round tyre and i am now on my 2nd set (i do a lot of miles) these hold up for dh and jumps, good for xc, low rolling and good wear, their not perfect at any one discipline but they are perfect compromise tyre if you want to fit and leave them on for all your riding types, although no good in wet muddy conditions

I bought these in a CRC sale 18 months ago and have used them mainly in dry conditions. They cope with loose, dusty or rocky conditions really well and give confidence that you can push hard into corners. They cope with a bit off damp but do not use in the wet as they wash out on every corner.

Can't wait for this to come into stock....come on ..... Still running an old wire rim version on teh hardtail since my race version died on me. This is the best tyre I've found for our dry loose/hardpack conditions here in OZ. You'll do well to find a lighter tyre with more grip that these for running up front. I'm quite heavy at 88Kg and still run these at 25psi. I've had two WTB tyres explode on me when sitting at 60 psi with Stans fluid inside after making a fresh seal (admittedly one was not UST, but the other was a UST Weirwolf - another great front tyre). Hopefully the TCS has sorted this. otherwise it would be a full 5 starts from me.
