Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not touch I bought this along with a GXP bottom bracket bearing. it completely mangled the very tight old BB when I was removing it. I then had to remove the new one (foolishly followed the instructions with the BB that said that spacers would be needed for a 68mm BB - maybe on some but not on mine) and it could not get enough grip to remove it and simply slipped - I had to use a mole wrench instead. So, spend the money and buy a professional tool, 04 April 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Better ones out there Not brilliant - fitted the BB well enough, but on an admittedly particularly stubbon shell, flexed enough to round off the BB shell indents. The metal is hard but the open ended design encourages the 'jaws' of the tool to flex open slightly. Plus the uncomfortable handle limits the amount of pressure you can actually apply anyway. You get what you pay for I guess, wish I'd spent a few pounds more. 04 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by works like it should Does what its supposed to. Has more than enough quality to use for the foreseeable future on my bikes at home. 30 March 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor quality finish Poor quality stamping operation used to produce this tool had left burrs on the tool face resulting in the tool not fitting onto the BB. I chose to file off the burrs rather than send it back but as this is difficult due to the hardening of the steel I would recommend choosing a different brand. 21 February 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by What you pay is what you get finishing on the tool is not good, is a stamp tool from stamp machine, the threats got sharp edges at one side that will scratches your BB or cause slippage, best file away those sharp edges before use. 06 February 2014

Answer:
Yes; the Howitzer cups run the same pattern as Hollowtech II, GXP and other external bracket standards so this tool should be fine.

Answer:
Looks like it should for the external bearing howitzer. There are the same number of teeth needed. Looks like the howitzer is just thicker to accommodate the wider bearings than other external bb's.
