The guide teeth completely bent on first use. My Topeak mini chain tool did the job easily where the XTool failed miserably.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous mines broken after a year or two of light use. The metal raised piece that the links sit in just sheared off. I thought this would last a lifetime. I'll have to spare a bit of cash for the Park tools one now :((((((

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous i bought an identical tool to this but it was packaged as ice toolz. i got a single speed and a 7-10 speed version, their is no real differences between the two except .1's of mm in the chain guide support thing. The single speed tool will sit loosely on a multiple speed chain, I have n't tried the 7-10 speed on a single speed chain yet i don't think it would work.
The only thing is if a chain is worn it does not fit to well but then it doesn't matter if you mangle it as its for the recycle bin and this just shows the tight tolerances the tool is made too giving it great support on the chain. I was till resonantly making do with a cheap £5 tool but they are not worth the bother end up mangling a nice new chain with one of those and the pro tool saves time in installing and removing chains as your not having to adjust the chains position because the pins decides to go wobbly.
I don't what Loshy from Australia is on about "adjustable support" i don't see any other chain tools that are adjustable. sounds to me like Loshy had a worn chain that wouldn't fit right.
i bought this as i'm semi-professionally fixing and selling bike, i was looking at a Park equivalent but seen this at less than half the price so thought i would try it. Will comment on the durability once i have used it enough. But with two spare pins it will last years even with heavy frequent use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Lacks adjustable chain support so will bend your chain.
Chain tools MUST have an adjustable support .. or the tool will BEND the plate on a modern bike chain. I forgot .. and bought this "Pro" tool. My chain is now bent .. won't track true .. and falls off. I was better off with my old $10 breaker. This one is going on ebay or in the bin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous A good tool.
This is an excellent choice if you are looking for a chain breaker which will last. The tool came with two replacement pins and is also easy to service. It is strongly constructed and easy to use. What more could you ask for?
Worth the extra money over the cheaper versions of this tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous good tool
This is a good tool. I have a motorized mountain bike and I modified this chain rivet extractor to accommodated a 415 chain while still works great for the smaller bike chain. recommended
