Rated 4 out of 5 by good product a decent a top crown remover. you have to be precised if you don't fancy scratching or chipping the top of the forks leg other than that a good product that should last a few years 16 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Simple and effective I used this recently to install a standard 1 1/8" threadless headset on my touring bike, and it makes removing the old crown race really easy. I recommend being careful not to tighten the clamp too much, as I did this, and ended up with some scratches on the fork just below where the crown race sits. 17 February 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This type of tool is rubbish. If you hava a race that has been removed a few times then yes it works fine. if you have just recently fitted a new race to new forks then this tool has the potential to damage your crown. You must alternate when tightening nuts up. These are rubbish tools, not just X-tools but other brands with same design. I have built quite a few bikes and im always working on bikes in my spare time. My friends who are full time bike mechanics also hate this type of tool. They did however give me some excellent advice, tighten tool up to race finger tight and chap with a hammer, it works far better ;) 31 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I own a very similar tool, works well, removes the crown race with ease and with out damaging any thing. I think it may not be compatible with double crown type forks, not to sure not tried it. 22 May 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by makes an fiddly job super easy Heavy well made tool and takes less than a minute to remove the crown race and most importantly leaves no damage unlike a screwdriver and hammer. 13 March 2011
