X-Tools Pro Tube Cutter

For clean and straight cuts on headset tubes, handlebars, seatposts. It is delivered with a replacement cutting wheel in the knob.

X-Tools Tube Cutter Features:

  • For 6-38mm tube ( 1/4” – 1-1/2”)
  • Removable rotating deburrer

lnstructions:

  1. Position cutter so the blade makes contact at desired cutting point.
  2. Drive and tighten the knob to secure the tubing. Do not over tight.
  3. Rotate cutter once to position the cutting line and repeat until the tube is cut.
  4. Remove inside and outside burrs with the deburring tool.
  5. Insert the deburring tool with it’s blade facing down to fit the groove.

Answer: 
Not really; given the gradual cutting approach of this pipe cutter it would likely crack or warp carbon bars; it is designed for Copper, Brass, Aluminium and Thin-Walled stainless steel only. There are a range of diamond and tungsten carbide cutting tools available specifically for composites, these are ideal for the process as they won't pull and chip at the trim-line, however with gentle use a FINE toothed hacksaw blade or fine files will also do the job.
