Rated 5 out of 5 by Space saver, cheap This product is a real space saver, specially here in my country where we live in flats that are very small. I bought 3 xtools wallmount hanger for my road bike, tri bike and MTB. 07 May 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but narrow wheels/tyres only I bought this wall rack this week as I've started riding downhill and wanted my DH bike on the wall. I opted for this rack as it seemed to offer good value and looked decent quality. I thought the way I'd mounted my trail and road bikes in the past might be a bit flimsy for a near 40lb lump. Don't get me wrong, this is a really good piece of kit. The fittings are good quality and it's very sturdy. However, unfortunately though neither of my mountain bikes wheels would fit. I run 2.5s on my DH bike and I'm currently on Maxxis Beaver 2.25s x 29 on my trail bike. Despite chopping around an inch off the loop of the hook, neither wheel and tyre got anywhere close to fitting underneath. All isn't lost though, it holds my droppy 700c x 25 wheel and tyre nice and snugly. Consider the above when buying, especially if you're a mountain biker. 07 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great but bikes can stick out a long way I use this for a tag a long bike and its brilliant, however if you hang a large adult bike on there it can stick out along way, if this is the right thing for you depends on your space available and type of bike i guess. Its great for what I need it for. 01 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 28 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good bit of kit, great value A couple of us ride to work and space is a but of an issue, brought a couple of these to keep the bikes up out of harms way! easy to install and definitely do the job! If I every have a garage I may buy some for myself! 28 September 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Strong but poor screws Great product, but the plaster board fixings are poor. The screws provided slip out of them easily. I ended up just finding the studs and going straight into them. This done, the hanger works perfectly and make way more room in my garage. I'm using 4 at the moment, might get a couple more as my bike collection grows. 21 March 2013

I've got Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres on Stans NoTubes ZTR Flow EX rims, making for a very big tyre! They come to about 64mm wide and 77mm tall (from top of the tread to where the spoke enters the rim).

I've been told that a bike with hydraulic brakes shouldn't be stored hanging up...is there any truth in this?

Answer:
It is possible for air to get into the brake lines if stored upside down. However this is only a problem if there is already air in the master cylinder (lever side).

For air to get into the lines it has to be present in the reservoir before the bike was inverted. Then what happens is that upon inversion; the bubble enters the master cylinder piston area through the transfer port in the bottom of the reservoir.

When you turn your bike the right way up and operate the brake you can now only compress the bubble and the piston will no longer have pressure.

If brakes are bled correctly; storing inverted or vertically should not cause any problems.
