The 575 has been making rough trails
smoother for the last 5 years and has
been the most successful bike in the
history of Yeti. Why? Well, there are a
number of reasons: it is light, has loads of
travel (5.75”), is efficient, and descends
well. But most importantly, it rules on
At the heart of the 575 is Yeti's Active
Suspension system that is made for trail
riding. The longer travel makes it easier
when climbing rocky, rooted, nasty terrain
– rather than fight your way through
the obstacles, you can sit back, pedal,
and let the bike do the work.
The seat angle has been designed to put
you in an efficient pedaling position, so
you have full power when going uphill.
And the geometry is neutral and predictable,
so you don’t have to worry about
things getting skittish if you bring it up to
On the descent, the 575 is a dream. It
is designed with an active mid-stroke in
the suspension so you can feel the bike’s
full travel, especially when encountering
square-edged bumps. It’s low bottom
bracket and perfectly balance suspension
makes fast cornering, even in rough
terrain, easy and controlled.
Dogbone: Dogbone controls suspension rate and enhances rear end
stiffness. Sealed bearings allow the dogbone to move freely
Flex Pivots: Carbon Flex pivots allow Yeti to shave weight and increase performance. I-Beam construction has great lateral stiffness and enhances suspension performance.
Pure Tubing: Yeti pure tubing is custom butted and tapered 7005 aluminium. This makes the frame lightweight and strong without the use of gussets. The unique shape perfectly compliments the shape of the headtube for increased front-end stiffness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MLST Fantastic frame, rides incredibly well both up hill and down.
Over the last 15 years MTB riding I have always fancied owning a Yeti, I saw this on offer and thought I'd treat myself to another self build.
I built this using 150 Fox Forks, SRAM X0 & X9 type II drivetrain, Hope discs and Stans Flow EX Hope hoops.
The frame is fantastic, you have to put a high amount of pressure in the rear shock and then when you first sit on the bike it feels like it's very bouncy and feels like it will give you a lot of "Bob" and potentially a really spongy uncontrollable ride, this made me a bit nervous about the frame, even though you may be tempted to put even more pressure in the shock don't because as soon as you set off the Yeti comes to life, no bob, no chain slap nothing it handles everything with ease. it climbs and descends so well you'll be smiling from start to finish.
The bottom bracket feels a lot lower in position than my other full sus bikes but once you get used to it it's amazing.
Cable routing for a reverb is OK but could be better.
