What is ZV9?
The ZV9 Protein Energy bar has been specially formulated using high quality whey and milk proteins. It is ideal for use after training or racing as a healthy snack, which also helps recovery.
Why should I use ZV9?
The ZV9 Protein Energy Bar applies the latest advances in whey protein science to produce a soft moist texture without comprising nutrition quality by using collagen or other ‘low value’ proteins. It also includes the ZIPVIT SPORT synergistic mix of vitamins, to help with energy production from carbohydrates and fats and protect against harmful free radicals. ZIPVIT SPORT’s protein bar is without question the most exciting bar to be launched in the last decade. Setting new milestones for flavour, taste and benefits, it has already started to revolutionise nutrition for endurance sports.
How does it work?
Zipvit’s ZV9 Protein Energy Bar digests so easily it can actually be taken during exercise to accelerate recovery. It can also be used after exercise to help refuel and repair exercised muscles. The quality proteins and carbohydrates in the ZV9 bar improve muscle repair and refuelling several days after hard training sessions, making them a useful aid to recovery even on rest days. The great taste and convenience of the Zipvit ZV9 bar also makes it the perfect high protein snack.

With these in the jersey pocket I can take the proteins as soon as the ride finishes. Don't need to wai til I get home. Once the hard part of the ride finishes I eat one of this bars and pedal lightly to home. I think the recovery this way is better than taking BCAAs only when arriving at home. And it tastes good.

Great for stopping the post ride leg aches and they taste nice as well. These would be awesome if they were a few quid cheaper.

Have tried all the available flavours. Banana Blueberry is (to my palate) too sweet. Both the chocolate flavours are great, with the Choc Orange my favourite as the slight citrus hint seems to cut through the sweet.
The bars themselves are a thin-chocolate coating over a fudge-like homogeneous centre. There are no fruit pieces, rice crisps or anything like that to get in the way of sciencey delivery of your protein/carb hit.
The main weakness is that they all melt in higher temps. Be prepared to squeeze them out at the end of a long ride if you've left them in a back pocket or in the car. If you're unlucky, you'll get a box that has melted in transit and then glued itself to the inside of the packaging. This doesn't seem to affect the taste, only the ease of extraction.
All up, they get 5 stars because they taste great and you don't get a jaw ache trying to chew them like most protein-heavy bars I've tried.

started using these earlier this year and I really like the taste of these. Have tried all the flavours and all are good. The chocolate orange is a bit of a work out for the jaw, a fair amount of chewing is involved, similar but not quite as chewy is the banana one. The chocolate caramel is almost soft in comparison. All are easy on the stomach in my experience and provide a nice healthy snack to have with you straight after a work out. In my opinion they certainly help recovery after a tough gym work out. Made by Zipvit so you wont be disappointed.

I've tried all 3 flavours and they are all very nice although I am not a fussy eater but they are also easy on the digestion for me at any rate - the chocolate orange is especially chewy & there's a lot of eating in it purely because of that - you will end up with jaw ache so take small bites. The other 2 are much less work on the jaw but all three certainly help with your recovery after an intense work out. This is the cheapest I have seen them.
