The HJC Valeco is the helmet that sits just below their high-end helmets, offering the privateer racer and keen cyclist pro-level performance at a more affordable price. It still benefits from wind tunnel development so not only is it keeping you safer on the bike it's fast too.

It might be you're tackling a big summer Gran Fondo, hitting high mountain peaks or perhaps an early season race and all the grit and grime that entails. Wherever you ride, the Valeco Helmet is designed to keep you safe on the bike. Weighing a mere 30 grams more than the pro-level Ibex, you'll very soon forget you're even wearing a helmet.

And no compromises to safety have been made to achieve this low weight either. Protection comes by the way of a tough polycarbonate outer bonded to a shock-absorbing EPS foam liner. The polycarbonate outer adds structural integrity and strength while the foam inner provides energy dissipation and protection from impacts. The EPS foam is also reinforced by a skeletal frame integral to the core, increasing overall strength and holding the helmet intact during multiple impacts. 

Wind Tunnel Tuned. Real-World Tested. 

The Valeco has been developed and refined in HJC's own wind tunnel facility. This has resulted in a design with smooth airflow, minimising drag as you pick up speed. While many aero helmets compromise on cooling to maintain speed, this isn't the case with the Valeco.

Airflow into the helmet has also been fully optimised. This HJC calls Ventury Dynamics. Using pressure difference between the front and rear of the helmet, the air is actively drawn inside via copious vents, 12 in total, circulates through the helmet along careful designed channels and exits through the rear exhaust vents. This dissipates the heat you build-up, cools your head and boosts comfort on the bike. 

Dialled in Fit

The fit is also quickly and easily dialled in - quite literally dialled in, thanks to the twist-dial adjustment on the back of the occipital cradle. This system holds the helmet firmly in place, important for both safety and comfort. Comfort is further enhanced via the antibacterial X-Static pads. These wick away sweat from your skin to prevent discomfort. And they're removable too, letting you keep everything clean and fresh for every ride.
