Created to bring you ultra-efficient chain retention and power delivery, this version of the Snaggletooth Direct Mount (DM) Chainring is specially designed for SRAM Boost-type cranksets. With its 3mm offset, it aligns your chain with your cassette on your Boost-spec all-mountain (AM) or enduro bike and the direct mount design makes it simple to fit. Blackspire has added a  narrow/wide tooth profile, which holds your chain securely as you blast over tree roots and rock gardens.

Excellent Chain Retention

The Snaggletooth profile is so effective at stopping the possibility of the chain from dropping when used with a modern day clutch derailleur, that you will no longer need to consider mounting a chainguide to keep chain retention at its maximum.

Direct Mount Design

Since your front derailleur and chainguide are no longer needed, taking them off your bike will deliver weight savings. Blackspire has taken this a step further by making the new Snaggletooth chainring compatible with the SRAM GXP Direct Mount system, eliminating the need to use a chainring spider; once again, shaving even more weight.

Offset Spacing

To provide the correct chainline spacing that a traditional chainring spider provides for efficient shifting across the cassette, this chainring has been designed with a 3mm offset, providing a perfect 52mm chainline. The 3mm offset creates the perfect chain alignment between the chainring and cassette, ensuring that pedalling efficiency across the entire range of the cassette ratio is smooth and quiet; meaning the chain creates as little tooth wear on the cassette sprockets as possible.
