The Razer 2 MTB shoes offer lots of performance for the money. From the exhilaration of fast trail-centre XC loops to lung-busting weekend races, the snug-fitting unibody upper provides excellent all-around support for all-ride comfort. Northwave's asymmetric lacing system also removes pressure from the top of the foot. The supportive upper is complemented by the Performance Regular footbed, adding even more comfort and giving you a solid pedalling platform from which to apply power.

To keep your feet feeling fresh, the Razer 2s have mesh zones to allow greater airflow and breathability. Ultrathin reinforced materials keep weight to a minimum while welded TPU reinforcements on the toe and heel protect against rock strikes and hidden stumps. You then come to the XC 10 sole unit.

XC 10 Sole Unit

The carbon-reinforced XC 10 sole lets you sprint off the start line with a burst of rapid acceleration, carry maximum speed into and out of berms and kick hard up steep inclines with minimal power loss.

With a stiffness rating of 10 out of 15 on Northwave's scale, you can be sure power is smoothly applied to the pedals. However, with a touch of flex, you'll also find rough terrain won't cause discomfort as it takes out terrain buzz. The TPU inserts deliver excellent traction when you're off the bike and offer outstanding wear resistance too.

Single SLW 3 Closure System

The SLW3 closure, developed by X-Dial, builds and improves upon the previous iterations, making the fit and adjustment of your shoes quicker and easier than ever. It gives micrometric adjustment both to increase foothold and to release pressure. Twist to tighten. Press the side button to release pressure incrementally. All easily done on the go.

Cleat Guidance

These MTB shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
