An all-round beast of a wheelset, the BlackEdition 38 Carbon Wheelset is designed for those looking to ride whichever terrain they want to tackle, without giving away any handling or stability.

With a greater strength to weight ratio due to the R010 CNC machined 7075 hubset and DT Swiss straight pull spokes, this T700 UD carbon fibre wheelset is stiffer and in turn more reactive. The 38mm deep, 27.5mm wide rim creates a more linear contour with the tyre, which increases aerodynamics and decreases rolling resistance, essential for saving vital seconds. But, that’s not all, Prime has upgraded it to a higher grade of carbon, saving 40g per rim, making the new BlackEdition the lightest and stiffest rim yet.

Complete with a collection of spares in the box, the BlackEdition 38 Carbon Wheelset will confidently take on any road or Cyclo-X terrain.

Since the release of our BlackEdition rims in 2018 we’ve been working hard behind the scenes with the Vitus Pro Cycling in search of the marginal gains that could push them onto the podium in some of the UK’s biggest races. We’ve experimented with numerous types of resin and tested countless new lay ups before we settled on our new and improved BlackEdition rim. But, that’s not all, we’ve upgraded to a higher grade of carbon, making the new BlackEdition our lightest and stiffest rim yet.
