Just because they're hidden, doesn't mean liner shorts should be mediocre. Their Unlimited Ultimate Liner Bib Shorts have applied the same level of design as with their premium race shorts. 

It all starts with the Progetto X² Air seamless seat pad. This premium pad features a super-soft contact layer over the dual-density foam and gel pads. Whether it's a rough backcountry gravel trail or a smooth ribbon of tarmac, the support and damping it offers is superb. Castelli have carefully designed the hip area to keep the pad securely in place and prevent chafing, with Force fabric offering excellent breathability in this area too. 

The legs are made with perforated fabrics and feature gauze-like GIRO Air elastic grippers to keep them in place. This combination allows airflow to circulate as well as allows your skin to breathe. The upper follows a similar light and airy path. Open-knit bib straps let sweat escape and airflow in.  The back of the bib section is kept narrow to reduce coverage while a back yoke keeps the straps in the right place and prevent bunching. 

The final flourish is the inclusion of 3 storage pockets. These can be found to the back, sitting just above the waist height of your baggy shorts. An ideal place to stash essentials when you're wearing a loose-fitting t-shirt/cycling jersey.
