Created in a fabric developed exclusively for dhb, the Aeron Merino Mesh Sleeveless Base Layer blends extra-fine Merino wool and polyester. This lightweight yet hard-wearing mesh delivers incredible insulation, breathability and moisture management.

Three years ago dhb began work with leading European mill Thygesen & Birk on a new fabric blend featuring the Sportwool® yarn. It has been unleashed in this versatile base layer, which harnesses the natural powers of Merino wool and is fine-tuned for high-intensity activity.

The inside of the knitted fabric is super soft Merino and the outer is polyester – a blend that wicks moisture away from your skin brilliantly offers superb insulation and is resistant to snagging. It can even be reversed for your hot summer rides, where insulation is not a prerequisite.

Sportwool®

Thygesen & Birk produce the most advanced Sportwool® and Merino on the market. They have spent the past 15 years working on the development of Sportwool®, which blends the physical performance of synthetics with the power of natural fibres.

Merino wool

Merino wool is much finer and softer than regular wool. Sourced from Merino sheep, this sustainable, environmentally friendly and biodegradable fibre is naturally odour resistant, anti-bacterial, breathable, thermo-regulating and UV resistant – making it a must-have for cyclists.
