Polartec® Alpha® Direct is a highly technical fabric technology that is designed to perfectly regulate temperature when conditions are changeable. This makes it ideally suited to cycling where weather changes can be rapid, temperatures change as you climb and descend and speeds can go from slow to fast.

Alpha® Direct has evolved from the original Alpha technology, removing the need for extra fabric inside which results in vastly improved moisture management. Alpha® Direct sees the loft fibres get a new size and shape allowing it to sit next to other fabric layers, boosting breathability, improving comfort and reducing weight.

Windproof Protection

While you'll enjoy the lightweight warmth of the insulation it's not just that which adds comfort to your ride. dhb have used a windproof outer layer, complete with DWR water-repellent finish, to really lock in body heat and keep the elements at bay. Mesh panels under the arm ensure extra breathability while a full-length zip is easily used to let in airflow for harder efforts.

Finishing touches

Good gilets have usable pockets. The Aeron Alpha Direct has 4: three large cargo pockets, and a zipped one for valuables.

Reflective details are also a must. dhb have included a central rear reflective, along with a rear strip across the top of the pockets and a reflective dhb logo on the front of the gilet. Subtle touches to help you be seen out on the road.
