When it comes to cycling head protection the Women's Seyen Helmet (Mips) is at the cutting edge of design.

The tough In-Mold polycarbonate shell is paired with an EPS liner to absorb impacts and between these two layers is the integrated MIPS technology. While all Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards the addition of Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) redirects energy and provides more protection in certain impacts, boosting protection in the event of a crash. 

What is MIPS?

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Thanks to the unique MIPS design Giro has been able to maintain unrestricted airflow inside the helmets despite the high degree of protection. 25 Wind Tunnel vents over the helmet, all leading to internal channelling, forcing air across the scalp, meas you'll enjoy a cool head even in the warmest conditions or during the heat of a race.
