MIPS Spherical Technology

MIPS Spherical technology steps up the game when it comes to protecting your brain from multiple impacts, whether fast or slow speed hits. An EPS foam layer does the job of absorbing the energy from those high-speed falls when you're at full speed on a trail.

Meanwhile, a lower density EPP foam, with rebound characteristics, ensures slower-speed crashes aren't going to cause an issue either. All this is wrapped up in Giro's Hardbody shell system to give a helmet that can take the knocks of dirt riding.

Cool and Fresh

Whatever MTB fun you're enjoying you're bound to build up some heat and hence some sweat. But, fear not, the 14 channelled air vents let in cooling airflow so you're not a sweaty mess by the end of your biking session. You'll also enjoy a clear view when wearing goggles thanks to Giro's Channeled Stack™ ventilation at the brow. Drawing warm air away from the face it will leave goggles crystal clear and fog-free.

Hardbody™ shell

The Hardbody shell wraps from the outside of the helmet to the inside, giving a significant boost to durability compared to regular helmets. The in-mould construction fuses the tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet’s impact-absorbing foam liner. This fusion process allows Giro to sculpt better ventilation systems, so in-mould helmets can be lighter and cooler than traditional helmets.

Roc Loc® Air DH Fit System

The ultimate in easy adjustment, the Roc Loc® Air DH Fit System lets you get the fit of the Tyrant just right for you. A bumper around the dial prevents accidental adjustment if in contact with a backpack and it's super-light too so nothing extra to weigh your head down.
