The outcome of this research culminated in the manufacture of the Rivale Helmet. The specific shape of the Rivale enables a rider to gain a 1-second time advantage compared to other similar road helmets.

Lightweight and Aerodynamic Cycling Helmet

Rivale’s construction is based on an innovative design approach that focuses on the key performance parameters of the cycling helmet, making it compact, lightweight, ventilated and superiorly aerodynamic. The Venturi effect allows maximum air intake with the lowest drag possible. Through air channels inside the cycling helmet, hot air is pulled to the rear exhausting vents producing a great cooling effect.

MET’s top of the line fit system is Safe-T Advanced which provides the Rivale cycling helmet with the best weight/comfort ratio possible. The contact points have a larger cradle surface increasing comfort and are also designed to keep weight low and allow perspiration at the back of the head. The polyurethane soft padding improves the fitting, thus affording a snug head touch.

Other than lightweight, cycling helmets need to be breathable and comfortable, that’s why, along with Safe-T Advanced, the Rivale Helmet also features Airlite straps which are 15% lighter than standard helmet straps and Coolmax internal padding to create a comfortable fit that actively wicks moisture away from the surface of your skin.
