At the same time, and vital for mountain bike riding comfort, it's extremely breathable too - rated at 23.000g/m2 - this ensures you're not left a soggy, sweaty mess after some harder uphill pedalling efforts. And with its dirt and water-resistant coating, muddy splashes are no problem either. 

If you do find yourself feeling a bit too warm, then the combination of vents and ClimbVent connector, which allows you to fully open the jacket while pedalling, lets you control cooling airflow as and when you need it. For particularly nasty weather the adjustable hood is a massive bonus, pulling up over even full-face helmets. And when not in use, the magnetic hood system prevents it from flapping about annoyingly.
