Firstly, a durable polycarbonate shell gives you a lid that is up to the daily knocks of mountain biking. This tough shell is in-moulded to an impact-absorbing liner. Extending down both the sides and back of the head, the extra coverage provides protection no matter which way you crash. Cutting edge MIPS brain protection system can also be found, boosting safety still further. 

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) 

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.
