You still get the same responsively stiff sole and supple upper to crush XC and cyclocross or to enjoy a big trail loop. 

The Trace 2 Mega MTB Cycling Shoes are an excellent introduction to Sidi's world of high-performance, comfortable and durable mountain bike shoes. They boast a supple but tough upper made from a material called 'Politex'. This material gives the shoe a snug and comfortable fit while resisting rips, abrasions, stretching and fading - exactly what you need for the rough and tumble of off-road riding. They're an MTB shoe you'll enjoy wearing season after season after season.

Comfort is also optimised thanks to the easy adjustment of the fit. This adjustment is via Soft Instep Closure 3 system and dual strap closures. A wide EVA thermo-formed padded strap wraps across the top of the foot and is adjustable on both inner and outer sides for a perfect fit every time you ride. The two lower straps then give easy adjustment of pressure, even on the go. 

RS17 MTB Sole

The RS17 MTB Sole gives a stiff and stable pedalling platform through which you'll enjoy smooth and effortless power transfer as you speed along the trail. A dialled in amount of flex also make them comfortable over rougher terrain while also making walking easy too. If you are off the bike then the MTB specific tread provides sure-footed traction even on the muddiest of ground. Toe studs can also be added to boost grip and the replaceable toe tread gives the shoes increased lifespan.

Cleat Guidance

These shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use the 2-bolt cleat standard (SPD standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
