Due to the ever increasing demand for wider and lighter bars for more aggressive riding styles, Spank has developed the Dual XGT (Extreme Gradual Taper) technology with Impact Ends. The Spike 777 FR Bearclaw benefits from this Dual XGT technology, which enables extreme precision during manufacture for consistent wall thickness. Spank has optimised the spread of material to counter high stress areas on the bars under extreme use through FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and rigorous real-world testing. The Impact Ends reduce the chance of collapse in areas where the wall is thinner and in heavy impacts.
