The ST1 has the most comfortable sitting position of all Stromers as standard. This is due to its +17° lean angle stem and riser handlebars with 20mm rise and 20° back sweep. In addition to the handlebar stem at an angle, this also brings the handlebars closer for a straighter sitting position. You can always adjust this configuration. The ST1 Sport comes in the colors Deep Red, Light Gray and Dark Gray. The 2021 update with a new CYRO Drive II motor delivering 670W of power and 35Nm of torque ensures that the ST1 is powerful enough to reach speeds of 40-45 km/h.

With the Stromer app you can connect to your bike via Bluetooth . That way you can read out your ride data quickly and easily . With OMNI BT it is possible to unlock and lock your ST1 via the app . So completely keyless ! Thanks to the Bluetooth connection, you have the option of choosing driving programs and even installing personalized driving programs on your Stromer!

Speed Pedelecs are fantastic vehicles for commuting or leisure, but customers must be aware of the legalities surrounding their usage.

The information below is a fact sheet that gives a quick introduction to what constitutes a S-Pedelec, and what is needed to ride them legally in the UK.

Definition of a Speed Pedelec:

• A pedal bicycle with motor assistance up to 45km/h
• Motor power exceeds 250W
• Officially categorised as a moped in the UK

Legal Requirements to Ride in the UK:

• Driving license
• Vehicle registration and number plate
• Vehicle tax
• Insurance
• Helmet certified for use on Mopeds
• Driving Licence Specifics
• Driving test passed prior to Feb 1st 2001 = qualified to ride a Speed Pedelec
• Driving test passed after 2001 = Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) required prior to riding a Speed Pedelec
• CBT test will take one day, and cost around £150. CBT certificate is valid for 2 years
• ‘L’ plates required after CBT test until full motorbike test taken
• Full Motorcycle test required to be taken and passed in 2 years, or a fresh CBT required
• Speed Pedelecs are considered Mopeds in the UK and are subject to the same laws as a moped or motorbike
• License plates are required
• Mirrors come with the bike and should be fitted
• Forms required are V267 (new vehicle import), V55/4 (Application for a licence for a new motor vehicle and declaration for registration), and certificate of conformity
• V267 and V55/4 are from the DVLA. Certificate of conformity will be with the bike: this is required to complete the V267 and V55/4 form
• Fill in and send V267 and V55/4, along with the Certificate of Conformity to DVLA to register the bike
• Receive V5c form: vehicle is now registered
• Vehicle is tax exempt due to zero emissions
• Get a standard number plate
• Arrange insurance: this will range from around £130 for third party, to £200 for fully comprehensive
• MOT is required after 3 years

Usage:

• Speed Pedelecs cannot be ridden on cycle paths or cycle lanes
• Moped/Motorbike helmet required as per UK Motorcycle helmet rules (EU Pedelec certified helmets are not currently compliant)

While it seems a lengthy checklist for those who don’t already hold a relevant license, it is worth the time investment to access the countryside, city or open your commute to the possibilities of (speedy) two wheels.

When you order a bike, one of our trained mechanics will carefully prepare and pack your bike for shipping. Upon delivery, the assembly is simple and all necessary tools and plastic pedals are conveniently included in the box.

Depending on the delivery service and destination, bikes will either be delivered in a large or a small box. Below is a guide as to how your bike will arrive:

• All bikes for delivery within the UK and Republic of Ireland will be delivered in a large box, except for balance bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer’s boxes.
• All bikes for delivery within the EU on a standard service will be delivered in a large box. If an express delivery option is chosen, your bike will be packed into a small box. Again, the exception is balance bikes and BMX bikes, which are always delivered in manufacturer’s boxes.
• All bikes for worldwide delivery outside the EU will be delivered in small boxes.
