Nowadays, BB30 has become a standard. The first benefit is weight saving by eliminating the BB cups of current outer bearing system. Second, the oversized AL7075 alloy spindle and oversize bottom bracket greatly increase stiffness. Third, the larger bearings are more durable and make bearing life longer. Fourth, BB30 is narrower than current outer bearing systems. It gives the rider greater ankle clearance and improves performance in power transfer.
